The house

Five bedrooms, one house

5 bedrooms, each with a king bed and its own bathroom, sleeping up to 10. Let as a whole to one group at a time.

The space

One group at a time, with the whole house to themselves.

Renting whole is the point. There is no corridor of strangers, no breakfast sitting, and nobody to be quiet for after nine in the evening except each other.

It is built of three materials and no more: dark standing-seam metal, vertical timber slats and stone. That is a deliberate restraint — in a valley of varnished pine balconies, a house that looks like one thing rather than five.

Ten is the number the house was arranged around. Smaller groups take it too — it simply means spare rooms and a quieter kitchen.

Five rooms, all the same

5 bedrooms, each with a king bed and its own bathroom: five king beds, for up to 10 people.

Identical on purpose. Nobody has to be told they got the small room, nobody queues for a shower, and a group of five couples divides without a conversation. For families, a king takes two small children comfortably — tell us who is coming and we will say what works.

The house

What it will look like

These are the architect's renders. The house is being built, so there are no photographs of it yet — when there are, they replace these.

Render of the front of the house: a dark standing-seam gable with vertical timber slats, stone walls and a first-floor balcony
The gable end, with the balcony over the terrace. Dark standing-seam metal, vertical timber and stone — the three materials the whole house is made of.
Render of the garden side: a tall glazed gable over a covered terrace, with the living room and dining table visible inside
The garden side. The full-height glazing is the living room and the long table, and the terrace runs the width of both.
Render of the long side of the house, stone and dark cladding, with forest rising behind it
The long elevation, with the forest behind. The bedrooms look this way.
Render of the house seen from the drive, with stone paving and lawn in front and wooded hills behind
What you see coming up the drive.

Outside

What is on the land

The reasons not to get back in the car once you have arrived.

A floodlit padel court
On the property, twenty steps from the kitchen door. The lights are the point: in these hills they are the difference between a court you use in July and one you use in October.
A wood-fired hot tub
The ciubăr, which in this valley needs no introduction. It is what the evening turns into after a day outside, and what the children ask about before the padel court.
A sauna
The other half of the same evening. Between the two, winter stops being the season you avoid and becomes the reason to come.
A playground
Swings, a climbing frame and a slide, in sight of the terrace. A house for ten is usually two or three families, and this is the part that decides whether the adults get to finish a conversation.

Tell us when you would like to come.

Your dates and how many of you there are is enough to start. We reply within a day, and we will tell you straight away if the house is not right for your group.
